This Privacy Policy explains what information Brivex Media ("Brivex," "we," "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Reading and browsing Brivex never requires an account or any personal information.

Information we collect

If you create an account, we collect your email address, a username, and a display name.

• Account info: email address, username, display name, and optional bio — collected when you sign up, via our authentication provider (Supabase).
• Comments: the text of any comment you post, linked to your account.
• Newsletter: your email address, if you subscribe to our newsletter — with or without creating an account.
• Contact form: your name, email, and message, if you contact us.
• Premium subscription: if you subscribe to Brivex Premium, our payment processor Stripe collects your payment details directly. Brivex never receives or stores your full card number — we only receive a subscription status and billing reference from Stripe.
• Basic technical data: standard server logs (like IP address and browser type) collected automatically by our hosting provider for security and reliability.

How we use your information

• To create and maintain your account, and let you comment on articles
• To send the newsletter you signed up for
• To process and manage your Brivex Premium subscription
• To respond to messages sent through our contact form
• To keep the site secure and working properly

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with advertisers.

Who we share data with

We use a small number of service providers to run Brivex, each of which processes data on our behalf: Supabase (accounts, database, file storage), Stripe (payment processing for Premium subscriptions), and Vercel (website hosting). We don't share your information with anyone else except where required by law.

Cookies

Brivex uses essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your light/dark theme preference. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Your choices

• Update your profile information anytime from your Account Settings page
• Unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any newsletter email
• Cancel your Premium subscription anytime from your Account Settings page
• Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us through our Contact page

Children's privacy

Brivex isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
