One Dead, Three Hospitalized in Multi-Vehicle Crash on US-75

One person died and three others were hospitalized following a multi-vehicle crash involving an 18-wheeler on southbound U.S. Highway 75 near the High Five Interchange in Dallas on Monday afternoon, authorities said.
The High Five Interchange, where US-75 meets Interstate 635, is one of the busiest and most complex interchanges in North Texas, and crashes there routinely cause significant delays across the broader freeway network. Monday's crash closed lanes for several hours during the afternoon commute as emergency crews worked the scene and investigators documented the wreckage.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved or determined a cause for the crash, and the investigation remains ongoing. Texas Department of Transportation data has repeatedly identified the US-75 corridor through Dallas as one of the state's higher-incident stretches of highway, a pattern officials attribute to the combination of heavy commuter and commercial truck traffic converging through a dense network of interchanges.
Drivers were urged to seek alternate routes while crews cleared the scene, and normal traffic flow resumed later Monday evening. Local officials have periodically called for additional safety improvements along the corridor, though any major redesign of the interchange would require significant state funding and years of planning.
